The Erie-Niagra Chapter of the NYSSPE recently held it’s most heavily attended chapter event ever. Over 200 engineers showed up for the region’s Engineers Week Celebration. The seminar series was held on February 27 at Grapevine Banquets in Depew, New York and an astounding 26 seminars were offered to guests.
The event also included a lunch and dinner banquet where guests were entertained with scholarly qualms and advice from many influential speakers in the engineering field. The keynote speaker John Amend, who leads the technical team at Empire Robotics, gave his seminar entitled Flexible Gripping Technology for Collaborative Robotics. The dinner event, which drew 90 professionals, included a speech from NYSSPE President Elect Larry O’Connor, PE, LS, F.NSPE. O’Connor was also honored with the distinguished service award at the dinner. Click here to view more photos of the event.
