The NYSSPE Erie/Niagara Chapter sponsored the Women in STEM event, which was held at The University at Buffalo. This event promoted visibility and celebrated the accomplishments of women in the fields Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics and facilitated the building of relationships and sharing of experiences among women in STEM.
Rachel Haot, Chief Digital Officer and Deputy Secretary of New York State served as the keynote speaker for the event. The free, half-day summit registered over 250 participants and brought together individuals from all levels, including undergraduate students, scholars, professionals, and educators. This summit allowed the sharing of informative and empowering information and experiences that help to advance Women in STEM.
