The NYSSPE Erie Niagara Chapter held yet another successful Engineers Week event on February 24th that brought in over 200 attendees and a banquet dinner with over 75 attendees. The event offered five PDH tracks including Civil, Electrical, Environmental/Regulatory, Mechanical, and Structural. The attendees included local engineers as well as students from both Erie Community College as well as the University at Buffalo (UB). This event continues to grow year over year.
Founded by NSPE in 1951, Engineers Week (aka EWeek), which was February 19–25, 2017 this year, is dedicated to ensuring a diverse and well-educated future engineering workforce by increasing understanding of and interest in engineering and technology careers. To support that mission, NYSSPE Erie Niagara Chapter members also attended an event the Tuesday before their event at UB. It was an Order of the Engineer ceremony that brought engineering at the University at Buffalo into the spotlight.
We commend the NYSSPE Erie Niagara Chapter for another successful Engineers Week!
