David has been an engineer (or engineering student) since he graduated from high school, and recently renewed his PE after completing his continuing education credits. His studies at NYU were interrupted by his service in WWII,where he was a Combat Engineer attached to the 9th Army. Engineering was his life, and it influenced everything he did.
He was a loving husband and father, a civil engineer, a graceful and proficient skier, retired President of Garnerville Holding Company, and a recipient of the Bronze Star for his service in Europe during WWII.
He was predeceased by his wife Lillian; he is survived by his daughter, Ruth Lipman, and her husband Jerry Warren, his son, Walter and wife Rosemary, and four grandsons.
