DEC Releases NYS’s Proposed Solid Waste Management Regulations
DEC recently released NYS’s proposed Solid Waste Management Regulations (6 NYCRR Part 360) for public comment. They will be accepting public comments through July 15, 2016. The timing of this is good as it will now allow us to provide our regulatory basis for some of regulatory changes as they relate to landfill liner and final cover system designs during the training seminar later this month.
“Ensuring safe water supplies is critically important,” said Governor Cuomo. “These new regulations will help reduce contamination threats while safeguarding natural resources so that we can ensure a healthier and safer environment for communities all across this state.”
