Becoming a licensed professional engineer is a great accomplishment. Many doors open and many opportunities become available for engineers that are able to obtain a P.E. license. There are a number of steps that are involved in the process for obtaining a P.E. license, which include passing two major exams. The entire process can take a number of years to complete.
