John Walton Angstadt, of Clarence Center, a retired mechanical engineer, died Thursday in Millard Fillmore Suburban Hospital, Amherst. He was 100 years old.
Born in Kutztown, Pa., he earned a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering in 1937 from Pennsylvania State University, where he played clarinet in the band. Mr. Angstadt began working the Buflovak Equipment Division of Blaw-Knox Co. in 1938, made a number of design and manufacturing improvements and held several patents. He became vice president for engineering in 1977 and retired in 1980.
